The 6th China International SME Fair (the 6th CISMEF), jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the China Banking Regulatory Commission and the People's Government of Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China, together with the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of the Kingdom of Spain, is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, from 22nd to 25th September, 2009.
With an exhibition floor space totaling over 100,000 sq m, the 6th CISMEF expects to bring some 4,000 Chinese and overseas exhibitors. The Chinese exhibitors shall represent their markets respectively from 34 provinces alike in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Industry exhibition areas cover electronics & IT products, household appliances, mechanical equipment, energy & environment products, consumption goods and buiding materials. Three exhibition halls are set for overseas exhibitors, namely the Spanish Hall, the International Hall, and the Hall for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan. The number of visits is estimated to be over 200,000.
The 6th CISMEF aims at building up a platform for SMEs in China and the world at large to display, exchange, trade and cooperate. It is so far the largest international exposition targeted at SMEs.
As the co-host country, the Kingdom of Spain will bring to the event enterprises from sectors as follows, biotech, machine tools, components and industrial materials, IT, agricultural products, energy, climate change and environment, tourism, franchising, engineering and architecture, and education, showcasing the countrys modernization, advanced technology and unique culture.
